The Kapuskasing Flyers have been a proud member of the Great North U18 Hockey League (GNU18) since 1990. Over the past 15 seasons we are proud to say over 150 players have graduated to higher levels of hockey.
We take pride in being a bilingual program that provides an opportunity for athletes from the District of Cochrane to develop as hockey players close to home. As a regional team, we have an understanding of the demands that are placed on young athletes away from home and our staff has many years of experience in facilitating an easy transition.
Much of the success of the program is attributed to the participation and contribution of players, families, and community hockey associations. The continued development of the relationship with all the communities within the District of Cochrane is of great importance to our organization. This relationship is a core value in our continued mission of promoting the regions hockey players.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Kapuskasing Flyers program is to provide young athletes from the Cochrane District of Northern Ontario an opportunity to participate in the game at an elite level and assist in developing the skills necessary to advance to the next level.
