The Kapuskasing Flyers U18AAA believe in fostering a close-knit community that involves not just our players, but their families too. Each year, we host two special weekends dedicated to strengthening these bonds: a Mothers' Weekend and a Fathers' Weekend. During these weekends, mothers or motherly figures, and fathers or fatherly figures, respectively, join the team on the bus, share accommodations with their kids, and immerse themselves in the full game day experience. Parents don their child’s jersey, cheer enthusiastically from the stands, and become an integral part of the team’s support system. These weekends offer a unique opportunity for families to connect, create lasting memories, and celebrate their child’s passion for hockey. It’s more than just a game; it’s about building a supportive community where everyone feels like they are part of the Flyers' family.
